Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details Location : Salina, Kansas (Zip : 67401) – Kansas nursing jobs Facility : Community hospital, 23-bed Progressive Care Unit Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract Start Date : January 5, 2026 End Date : April 6, 2026 Shift : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 00), 3 shifts / week Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend required (may be every third based on staffing) Unit Type : Med / Surg Telemetry, ICU Step Down, Post-Op Cardiac Patient Population : Adults & Geriatrics Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience Active RN license in Kansas required at time of submission Experience with Meditech EMR Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; TNCC preferred Professional references required Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (mileage rule applies) COVID-19 vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered) First-time travel nurses welcome Submit all time-off requests with application Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med / Surg Telemetry, post-op cardiac, and ICU step-down patients Float to Med / Surg, Emergency Department (for inpatient holds), and ICU as needed Administer medications, manage cardiac drips (no titration), and monitor telemetry Perform blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, wound care, and post-cardiac procedure management Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols Participate in self-scheduling and work every other weekend as required Discover rewarding travel nursing jobs in Kansas and experience the charm of Salina while making a difference in patient care.
