Controller
PrideStaff Financial on behalf of a client in Pompano is looking for an experienced Controller who will be responsible for managing the entire corporate accounting function, including significant supervisory duties and regular reporting to the CEO. Prior experience working for a non-profit is a plus!
Key Requirements & Experience :
- Education : Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience : Five years of hands-on accounting managerial experience specifically in a health care not-for-profit setting.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in Excel is explicitly required.
- Supervisory : Must be able to manage the entire accounting department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This role is a high-impact, hands-on management position with responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of all financial operations :
Financial Reporting : Oversee the accurate and timely dissemination of internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets.Tax Compliance : Ensure 501(c)(3) tax compliance is accurate and timely.Internal Controls : Establish and maintain systems and controls to verify the integrity of all processes and data.CEO Support : Respond to the CEO with accurate and timely financial work and reports.Operational Oversight
Disbursements (AP / Payroll) : Oversee accounts payable, purchase orders, expense reports, cash control, and total corporate payroll tax compliance.Accounts Receivable (AR / Billing) : Oversee all AR aging components, including billings, cash receipts, and funding service management.Work Environment and Logistics
