Job description

General Ledger Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our team in a contingent capacity. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in month-end close processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations, along with a solid understanding of technical accounting standards such as ASC 842 (Lease Accounting) and other relevant GAAP principles.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries.
  • Complete account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Assist with lease accounting under ASC 842 and other technical accounting areas as needed.
  • Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely reporting.
  • Prepare documentation for audits and internal reviews.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with ASC 842 and other technical accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
