Responsibilities
- Implement individualized sensory integration therapy treatment for patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the families.
- Collaborate with therapists to develop and modify care plans based on patient needs.
- Provide education to patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
- Adhere to all occupational therapy protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Degree from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Certification and state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
