Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Educational Diagnostician to join our team. The Educational Diagnostician will play a critical role in evaluating students learning needs, interpreting assessment data, and collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education programs (IEPs). The ideal candidate demonstrates strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and academic assessments to identify students learning strengths and needs.
Interpret and analyze evaluation data to determine eligibility for special education services.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement appropriate educational plans.
Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) / IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations.
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, reports, and student records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Provide consultation and guidance to teachers on effective instructional and behavioral strategies.
Stay current with best practices, assessment tools, and special education laws (IDEA, Section 504, etc.).
Support a positive and inclusive learning environment through ongoing collaboration and advocacy for student success.
Qualifications :
Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Assessment, or a related field.
Valid state certification as an Educational Diagnostician (or eligibility for certification).
Strong knowledge of special education laws, eligibility criteria, and assessment procedures.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented educational setting.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working in school-based special education settings.
Familiarity with electronic IEP systems and data management tools.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) proficiency required.
