Job Overview :

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you'll work closely with nurses to provide hands-on care and support to patients. Some of your responsibilities will include :

Unit Description :

The COU is a cardiac-focused department that is utilized for admitting and recovering Cath Lab procedures such as heart catheterizations, structural heart procedures, peripheral vascular angiograms, Cardioversions, Anti-Arrhythmic admissions, ablations, pacemaker / defibrillator implants, loop recorders, EP studies, and CABG surgeries. The GW COU currently provides PACU recoveries for patients that have received anesthesia for procedures such as A-Fib ablations, TAVR procedures, LAAO procedures, and device implants.

The COU is a 30 bed unit that operates 24 / 7 / 365. The GW COU admits Simple Observation Cardiology patients as well as arrhythmias and rule-out chest pain in addition to all the procedures listed above.
