Job Summary :
Seeking applicants for the appointment of Breast Radiologist for the Leslie Simon Breast Care and Cytodiagnosis Center located within the Cancer Center. The successful candidate shall be a practicing physician who will join our growing comprehensive breast surgical program which includes direct collegial onsite support from a multidisciplinary cancer team within a NAPBC accredited breast center. The ideal candidate should also carry exceptional inter-personal skills with a goal of sharing a vision of unparalleled delivery of care through teamwork, collaboration, innovation and persistence for excellence.
Job Essentials :
- Perform and interpret breast imaging procedures
- Communicate findings to referring physicians and patients
- Participate in biopsy procedures and image-guided interventions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of breast imaging technologies and protocols
- Ensure compliance with MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) and ACR (American College of Radiology) standards
Education Requirements :
Medical Degree : Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institutionResidency : Completion of a radiology residency programFellowship : Subspecialty fellowship in breast imaging or women’s imagingLicense / Certification / Registry :
State Medical License : Must hold a valid and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of employmentBoard Certification : Certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Diagnostic RadiologyMQSA Compliance : Must meet Mammography Quality Standards Act requirements, including : Certification by ARRT or equivalent40 hours of documented mammography training (including breast anatomy, positioning, and pathology)ARRT Mammography Credential (optional but preferred) : Demonstrates advanced competency in mammography procedures
