American Traveler is seeking a Rad Tech with at least 1 year of x-ray and CT experience for an acute care setting, requiring ARRT and BLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care critical access hospital covering CT and X-ray in ambulatory, clinic, outpatient, inpatient, ER, and OR settingsPatient population includes trauma, stroke, and orthopedic casesProcedures include various CTs, x-rays, CTAs, trauma imaging, and joint studiesEquipment includes Siemens 128 slice CT scanner, Siemens Ysio X-ray, Siemens MIRA portable, GE OEC c-arm, and Hologic Mini-CUses EPIC for EMR and McKesson PACS for imaging management10-hour rotating day / night shifts, including call and holiday coverage as neededPosition may require floating to assist with radiology injections / biopsies, with training provided if neededScheduling is assigned by the department director, with shifts based on department needsWeekend rotation is typically every third or fourth weekendMain duties include performing all CT and x-ray studies, including trauma, stroke, and orthopedic imagingWorkload can be busy and demanding, especially with ER and clinic caseloadsDirector is available during the day and on-call after hours for emergenciesTeam includes a Radiology RN Monday through Friday for added supportAttributes such as strong communication, willingness to learn, and teamwork are highly valuedTypically 1 week of department-specific orientation providedScrub and dress code requirements follow standard radiology protocolCandidates who have worked for CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity in the past year are not eligible\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year experience in x-ray and CT imagingCurrent ARRT(R) and BLS certifications required; ARRT (CT) preferredActive state license required if applicable; pending licenses not acceptedExperience with surgical C-arm use in emergent cases is requiredProficiency in Siemens and GE imaging equipment preferredTwo references required : one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months and one supervisor or peer from within the last 3 yearsCopy of driver’s license is required for considerationMust live at least 50 miles from the facility and not have been employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the past yearRTO requests must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved\n Benefits\n
