Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to provide specialized occupational therapy services within a school setting on a leave contract basis. The role is based in Murfreesboro, TN, with a preferred in-person schedule to effectively support students and staff across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer occupational therapy and sensory evaluations for referred students and those due for re-evaluation.
- Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) and support team meetings to contribute to student progress and planning.
- Provide consultation services to both students and teachers to address specific needs and enhance learning environments.
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to 11 students across four different schools.
- Consult on the needs and progress of 15-20 additional students.
- Adapt schedule and caseload as needed, with a potential increase in days if OT referrals rise.
Qualifications and Experience :
Valid Occupational Therapy credentials suitable for the school setting.Experience in conducting OT and sensory evaluations for students.Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families.Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads across multiple locations.Commitment to providing high-quality, student-centered care.Schedule and Duration :
Contract duration from the first week of February until one to two weeks before the end of the school year.Three days per week, seven hours per day.Primarily in-person support with flexibility based on demands.This contract position is ideal for occupational therapists seeking to make a meaningful impact in educational environments through direct intervention and collaborative support.
