Job description

HVAC General Foreman

We are seeking a highly experienced HVAC General Foreman to lead high-end residential HVAC projects from start to finish in Beverly Hills, CA, and surrounding areas. This role demands a ductwork expert with strong project management skills, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with general contractors, clients, and internal teams. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in high-end custom residential HVAC systems and excels at managing people, schedules, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of HVAC technicians and installers.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct job site inspections to verify quality, safety, and compliance with plans and codes.
  • Design and oversee all aspects of duct system design, layout, fabrication, and installation.
  • Ensure proper airflow balancing, static pressure testing, and duct optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve duct-related issues in complex residential systems.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting support and technical guidance to field teams.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and HVAC system designs with precision.
  • Ensure proper installation of systems including split systems, heat pumps, mini-splits, and zoning systems.
  • Plan and manage multiple residential HVAC projects simultaneously.
  • Coordinate with general contractors, architects, and other trades to ensure seamless execution.
  • Manage material orders, deliveries, and inventory for job sites.
  • Oversee start-ups, commissioning, and final inspections.
  • Enforce OSHA, company, and manufacturer safety protocols.
  • Ensure all work complies with local building codes and EPA regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, inspections, and crew hours.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with crews, clients, and general contractors.
  • Mentor junior technicians and promote skill development through toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training sessions.

Essential Skills

  • Mastery of HVAC systems including refrigeration, electrical, hydronic, and forced-air.
  • Expert-level knowledge of duct systems and airflow dynamics.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, performing load calculations, and system commissioning.
  • Familiarity with smart HVAC controls, high-efficiency systems, and custom residential applications.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both crews and clients.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts, motivate teams, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Professional demeanor with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.

    • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years HVAC experience in high-end custom residential projects.
  • At least 35 years in a foreman or supervisory role.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal required).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varied environments (attics, crawl spaces, rooftops).

    Work Environment

    The work environment includes managing multiple jobsites in the service area of Beverly Hills and Bel Air. Work hours are from 7 : 00 AM or 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM or 5 : 30 PM, with flexibility for extended hours as needed. The position involves driving to jobsites and managing teams, and you will be provided with a company van.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $145600.00 / yr.
