Your role as a WMS IT Support Manager - OSC
Key responsibilities :
- Accountable to actively drive consistent and efficient Operational processes within NewCold North American sites. This role will lead our Site WMS SuperUsers, while also contributing as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the conceptual framework of a "Center of Excellence" for the Operation Support Center. Primary focus related to User abilities related to the interconnected functions of the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Material Flow Control Systems (MFCS), Yard Management Systems (YMS), Site Camera systems and effective use of our TopDesk support system. Utilize strong technical capabilities and leadership acumen to drive Site SuperUser engagement and execute sustainable systems training, actionable reporting and gap analysis plans that drive a culture of ongoing development that drives consistent best practices within the established Operational Site teams. Support the active growth of our Region by contributing as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for onboarding new clients in new Sites and eventual "go-live".
- Directly trains, lead and further develops Site WMS SuperUsers by setting an expectation for workflow processes and supporting site KPIs.
- Developing standardization efforts with SOPs / DWIs to implement well defined processes and training for user interfacing systems.
- Support site cross training to engage a greater regional redundancy ability.
- Lead Testing effort with Site SuperUsers on new development / program fixes encompassing all user interfacing Logistic systems.
- Establishing expectations on maximizing site fill rate and put away effectiveness to ensure efficient utilization.
- Documenting SuperUser roles in a way that supports our ability to replicate the NewCold standard and scale up our team as new Sites are brought on.
- Creating consistent monitoring of system performance.
- Build redundant support options for site teams to ensure system issues are dealt with in a timely manner with minimal impact to operational effectiveness.
- Demonstrates commitment to the region's success by engaging teams to align processes that support the overall Operational Efficiency goals. Support deployment of best practices within the roles of Planners, Schedulers, Stock Control and Operators according to strategy.
- Leads onsite analysis to determine current state of systems acumen and adherence to standard work practices within the local Operations team. Develop necessary gap resolution / Ongoing learning plans along with a sustainable feedback loop to drive engagement.
- Supports cross training among roles to further functional competencies and teamwork (Planners, Schedulers, Stock Control & Operators).
- Work effectively with Site Teams to develop effective onsite technical SMEs to enhance utilization and reduce downtime related to system failures.
- Demonstrates the technical agility to assess current systems and identify opportunities through new systems, enhancements to current systems and processes to deploy that speed up our ability to reach strategic and tactical Operational goals.
- Actively engages with IT Leadership to demonstrate available industry system opportunities vs current capabilities and make recommendations for improvements.
- Engages with local site teams to identify opportunities for potential enhancements to current systems that drive engagement and efficiency.
- Leads the implementation of newly developed software / software enhancements affecting Operational processes.
- Execute SQL Database searches to analyze operational inefficiencies.
- Partner with Regional Implementation Team to meet NewCold growth strategies and timelines that deliver greater customer experience.
- Participate in applicable acceptance testing to ensure preparedness for First Pallet In and First Pallet Out.
- Assist in the development of training plans for new Team Members that lead to consistent deployment of best practices.
- Assist with plans that identify appropriate resource allocation for go live that supports the project schedule and established budget.
- Participating in Customer Work Shops as needed to match capabilities vs expectations.
- Travel requirements will fluctuate; currently 25-50%
- Other duties as assigned.
