Prospect14 focuses on the scaled origination and development of renewable energy and energy storage projects in multiple markets in the United States. Since its inception, Prospect14 has originated approximately 5GWdc of solar and solar + storage projects.

Prospect14 is developing utility-scale and community solar energy projects across North America. We enable landowners, power purchasers, and later-stage project developers to participate in the rapid growth of the solar energy market.

Position Overview :

At Prospect14, the Project Development team leads development of assets from Origination hand-off through all phases of development up to construction NTP. The VP of Development will manage a nine-person department of developers and interconnection engineers. The VP of Development will act both as a mentor and "player / coach" to the Development team and sit on the senior leadership team at Prospect14 along with three other VPs and the President. Prospect14 develops many of its projects under Development Service Agreements with customers so the VP of Development will be a key customer relationship manager. This is a broad role in a collaborative team environment. We are seeking a candidate local to the Mid-Atlantic region but will consider a remote-based position which may require travel to project sites or stakeholder meetings.

Key Responsibilities

The Vice President of Development will report directly to the President, and performs a variety of activities leading the Company's project development efforts, including :

• Lead the development of solar projects from Origination handoff by coordinating and managing various internal and external resources;
• Manage team of nine Developers and Interconnection Engineers;
• Work with the broader team to determine strategy for development and sale of projects;
• Work with Finance and Policy teams to determine new markets and origination strategies;
• Manage the system to forecast project data, schedules, and budgets;
• Work closely with the real estate department to facilitate real estate negotiations / agreements and maintain landowner relationships;
• Conduct project site assessments to identify fatal flaws to be addressed early in the project life cycle in collaboration with internal and external technical services such as legal, engineering, finance, and project sales;
• Take a lead role in obtaining certain local, state, and / or federal permits working with internal and external resources;
• Represent Prospect14 with customers, landowners, state and local officials and other stakeholder engagements; and
• Lead the Development team and collaborate with Prospect14 leadership in administrative aspects of Company management including the development and continuous improvement of processes, metrics, and reports for our internal use and reporting to investors and other stakeholders
