Workforce Readiness Coordinator
DEFINITION / PRIMARY FUNCTION
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating workforce readiness. The Coordinator is responsible for coaching identified employees to develop job skills and behaviors to retain successful employment. The Coordinator works closely with community partners, educational institutions, and other employers to ensure participants gain the skills and support needed to professionally thrive.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience :
Four years experience in workforce development, career counseling, or social services with underserved populations.
Demonstrated ability to adapt communications and engagement strategies to diverse audiences.
Education and Training :
Baccalaureate degree in Social Work, Human Resources, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
License, Certification & Registration :
N / A.
Other Requirements :
Knowledge of the challenges presented to underserved populations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Networking relationship-building abilities.
Proficiency in data management and recording.
Ability to create a direct link to community organizations who work with underserved populations.
Monitor and support engagements with workforce readiness outside consultants.
