LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Neonatal NP in Maryland!

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Neonatology Nurse Practitioner for a 72-day locum tenens assignment in Maryland, starting Dec 1, 2025. This role involves a mix of day and night 12-hour shifts, averaging 12 shifts per month, within a NICU at a leading academic institution. Candidates must have at least 2 years of NICU experience.

  • Schedule : 12 shifts per month (3 per week), mix of days (7am-7 : 30pm) and nights (7pm-7 : 30am), 12-hour shifts with 30-minute sign out; no 24-hour shifts

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide clinical care in a NICU
  • Attend high-risk deliveries and C-sections
  • Manage 5-10 neonatal patients per day
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, and APP team members
  • Participate in both day and night coverage as scheduled
  • Utilize Epic EMR for clinical documentation
  • Ensure safe, evidence-based neonatal critical care
  • Adhere to all institutional protocols and guidelines
  • Maintain required certifications and licensure
  • Additional Information

  • Must hold an active Maryland NP license
  • Required certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Board certification in Neonatology required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience; unable to train on procedures
  • Will not be responsible for neonatal transport
  • Full subspecialty support available through the hospital's Neonatology team
