Labor Supervisor
Labor Supervisors in the Merit System lead and coordinate crews performing a variety of skilled and unskilled manual work related to the maintenance and construction of public infrastructure such as streets, sidewalks, water and sewer systems, parks, and other municipal facilities. They assign tasks, monitor progress, train employees, enforce safety standards, and maintain records of work and materials. Supervisors also assist with more technical projects and use sound judgment to address issues and adapt to changing conditions.
Compensation and benefits include : Grade 18 pay grade and full-time employment status.

Typical job duties include :
The job involves moderate physical exertion required for occasional prolonged periods of lifting, carrying, climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. May involve occasional lifting of items or objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Work is primarily performed at outdoor worksites such as roadways and construction sites. Work involves use of standard office equipment, such as computer, phone, copier, etc. Work may also involve the use of various hand tools such as hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc. Workers may be exposed to weather conditions, such as extreme hot or cold temperatures, or other potentially hazardous conditions such as near roadway traffic, etc.
