American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med / Surg Float RN with arrhythmia and telemetry skills for evening / night shifts at a Level One Trauma Center.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in Med / Surg and telemetry float pool across multiple general care and IMC unitsPatient populations include cardiac, spine, neuro, and other acute care medical and surgical casesSetting is a Level One Trauma Center and academic teaching facilityEvening and night 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AMWork every other weekend and assigned holidays as neededFloating required; travelers are first to float and may be assigned to different units or locations based on staffing needsUses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience is requiredResponsibilities include floating to various units to provide high-quality, patient- and family-centered careWork with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, therapists, and advanced practice providersOpportunity to serve as a mentor or preceptor to new nurses and studentsPotential involvement in quality improvement, shared governance, and strategic planning activitiesLevel One Trauma Center and Magnet®-designated environmentParking permit required for onsite parking; alternative transportation options available\n \n Requirements\n
Active WI or Compact RN license requiredMinimum two years of recent acute care Med / Surg experience within the last three yearsExperience in multiple Med / Surg units including cardiac, spine, and neuro requiredBLS certification through the American Heart Association is mandatoryBasic arrhythmia (telemetry) experience required; must pass a telemetry test prior to startPermanent address must be at least 50 miles from the primary work site location\n Benefits\n
