Cost Control Manager – White Plains, New York
Role Expectations
- Verifies program cost table is set up with codes for all assets for all tasks.
- Verifies that preliminary funding request reflects plans to generate initial estimate and schedule.
- Assists with planning activities for developing all Phase 0 and Phase 1 instruments ahead of CEAR submission.
- Checks accrual status, submits accruals, re‑accrues or clears with invoices as applicable, and reports as completed.
- Verifies P6 schedule is accurate and any new estimates submitted have been reflected in schedule.
- Identifies key activities and procurement on schedule; verifies P6 budgets are accurately represented.
- Identifies persistently lagging activities and ensures appropriate durations are being carried out.
- Attends all scheduling meetings to identify any risks to current and outer year budget as a result of schedule updates.
- Advises on steps to obtain CEAR authorization ahead of cash runway.
- Participates in Project Health Meeting to review authorization status, budget status, commitments, and agree to changes in strategy or actions.
- Verifies that the most up‑to‑date P6 cost loaded schedules have been verified by Project Engineers and pushed to UOPP.
- Scrutinizes long‑range plans against progress and adds duration where justified.
- Updates DOB cash‑flow projections based on P6 schedules.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent technical discipline.Minimum 10 years of experience in Project Controlling and 6 years of experience in Construction Project Scheduling preferred.Proven track record of managing project controls for large‑scale utility projects.Experience with Power Generation, Transmission Line, and substation‑related projects.Must be able to independently generate reporting and conduct analysis.Must have experience using Scheduling Tools and Software.Required experience in SAP, SharePoint, SQL, Excel, Power BI, and Maximo.Proficient in project management and schedule analysis.Excellent communication, computer, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and planning skills.Demonstrated strong leadership potential and accountability.This is a hybrid role; must be able to travel to the White Plains, New York office weekly.Pay Range : $60.00–$68.00 per hour
