Job Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our accounting department. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for multiple related entities within a larger corporate structure.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset, eager to enhance existing processes and help develop new ones. This position reports to the Director of Accounting and Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform day-to-day accounting functions
• Review and approve accounts payable
• Manage fixed assets, keeping timely records of additions and disposals
• Assist with physical inventories at year-end or as needed
• Confirm accuracy of book and tax depreciation
• File business sales, use, and property taxes and renditions
• Identify transactions with potential accounting implications and handle appropriately
• Prepare monthly journal entries
• Reconcile accounts and resolve issues
• Utilize sound judgment while conforming to GAAP
• Perform analyses
• Complete monthly and yearly closing process
• Produce monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements
• Communicate findings and issues to management
• Assist outside auditors as requested
• Support accounting department with ad hoc activities and projects as needed
