Facilities Technician (Plumber)

L3Harris is seeking a Facilities Technician (Plumber) who will work under limited supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics and locally generated instructions. Responsible for laying out the installation of new sewer, steam line, water, and gas lines fuel, chemical line fittings. Must be able to replace and / or repair sewer, steam, air, water, gas, fuel, chemical line and fittings, valves, faucets, etc., as required. Must be able to determine the type and pipe size to be used on new sewer, steam, air, water, gas lines, fuel, and chemical line. Must be familiar with various systems and fixture related to water / gas supplies, heating, and sanitation in industrial settings. Will be required to follow work procedures, work on facilities and production equipment, as well as perform general plumbing maintenance. May work various shifts, weekends and holidays as required.

Essential Functions :

• Plumbing and facilities upkeep and repair.
• Maintenance and janitorial support of physical facilities.
• Conduct preventative maintenance.
• Support maintenance mechanics, simple projects, spot painting, and / or light construction.
• Perform boiler maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of equipment.
• General shop upkeep, cleaning, and / or organizing.

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant plumbing experience or 2 years post-Secondary / Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related plumbing experience.
