As the Medical Director at the Middleton Unit in Abilene, you'll serve a unique patient population while benefiting from the stability, support, and values-based culture of TTUHSC.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver advanced professional medical services, including diagnosis, treatment, and clinical decision-making for incarcerated individuals.
  • Coordinate all aspects of clinical health care at the unit level to ensure timely, equitable access for all inmates.
  • Supervise and support Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), with responsibility for hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Utilization Management, Clinical Pharmacy, and external specialists to ensure appropriate care delivery.
  • Uphold clinical documentation standards, participate in grievance reviews, and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the facility.
