Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
- All Additional Job Responsibilities of a Welder I & II
- Support Welder I & II employees through mentoring and / or on-the-job (OJT) training
- Perform final quality inspection on all welds, stress relieving and equipment.
- Determine stress relieving requirements
- Potentially assume role as Field Supervisor
- Fundamental selling skills
Positional Requirements & Qualifications :
Education & ExperienceHS Education or GED Equivalent a plus
5 or more years industry experience as a welderSkills & AbilitiesMeets all Welder I & II qualifications and requirements.
Proficient in Welder I & II responsibilitiesSuccessful completion of Welder Level III Written and Performance TestMinimum of 5 years as a certified WelderExperienced trainer of Level I & II WeldersProficient in ASME Section IX and Section V CodeWorking knowledge and proficiency of welding metallurgyKnowledge and understanding of filler metal selectionAbility to read and understand technical drawingsUnderstanding of shop math and weld costs.Ability to organize and manage multiple tasksBasic OSHA and TWIC card (TWIC, only if required)Ability to manage people
Excellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated "can do" attitude and excellent customer service skillsSupervision :Works mostly autonomously with little supervision
Must be able to travel and have a clear driving record in accordance to company driving guidelinesClear background check and drug / alcohol screeningEssential Physical Functions :
