Laundry Aide

Blue Plams Health and Rehabilitation Center of DeLand is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laundry Aide to join our team. As a Laundry Aide, you will be responsible for providing laundry services in our Healthcare Center. Your main duties will include sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and clothing items. Additionally, you will ensure the cleanliness and functionality of laundry equipment and maintain inventory levels of supplies.

The successful candidate must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Sort and separate linens and clothing items according to color, size, and fabric type
• Operate laundry equipment, such as washers and dryers
• Follow proper washing and drying instructions to ensure the longevity of garments
• Inspect items for stains, damage, or unusual wear and tear
• Fold and package clean items for distribution to appropriate departments or residents
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry area, including removing lint and cleaning lint traps
