Job Title : Traveling Construction Superintendent
Location : Projects across Kentucky and North Carolina
Salary : $95,000 - $115,000 (based on experience)
Travel Expenses : Fully Covered
A well-established construction firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Traveling Construction Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects across Kentucky and North Carolina. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong background in construction management, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to high-quality project execution. The superintendent will be responsible for ensuring that all assigned projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet or exceed quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all phases of construction, from planning to final close-out, across multiple job sites.
Manage subcontractors, vendors, and site crews to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
Interpret blueprints and technical documents to ensure accurate construction practices.
Conduct routine site inspections to enforce quality control and safety compliance.
Troubleshoot job site issues proactively and develop practical solutions.
Maintain effective communication with clients, engineers, architects, and internal teams.
Provide regular reports on project progress and site activities.
Ensure proper use and care of all materials and equipment on-site.
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar leadership role.
Proven track record of managing multiple construction sites successfully.
Willingness and availability to travel frequently (must have a valid driver’s license).
In-depth understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and documentation.
Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office Suite.
OSHA certification or comparable safety credentials preferred.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Physical Requirements
Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions and navigating active construction sites.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods.
