Responsibilities
Lead and manage the design studio, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Oversee multiple residential projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, design vision, and budget constraints.Provide strategic direction and mentorship to the team, guiding them through all phases of design and execution with the Principal.Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors.Develop and manage project schedules, resources, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.Uphold the highest standards of design excellence and brand consistency across all projects.Monitor project budgets and financial performance, proactively addressing any challenges.Ensure compliance with industry regulations, codes, and sustainability best practices.Participate in business development efforts if needed, including client presentations, proposals, and networking.Qualifications
5+ years of experience in design studio management, architectural design, or design studio operations (experience in an architecture, design, or professional services firm is a strong plus)Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact professionally with internal teams and external vendorsStrong problem-solving abilities and proactive mindset with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailProven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive informationTechnologically proficient; comfortable with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, video conferencing tools, and basic IT troubleshootingFamiliarity with tools such as Expensify, cloud-based file storage, and project / task management platforms (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday.com)Positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to support a collaborative studio cultureCompensation and Benefits
