Job description

Please Note : This position will be posted through Friday, November 28th, 2025. We are hiring for our New Brighton Store. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Full-time positions are available. Please tell us about your availability.

Important to know :

  • New Hires will report to our Broomfield Store located at 4775 West 121st Avenue, Broomfield, CO 80020 for their first day onboarding / New Employee Orientation.
  • Training may take place at another of our Goodwill Stores in the North Metro area.
  • Once the store opens, the initial weeks will focus on preparing the store for its grand opening, including tasks such as cleaning, assembling rounders, and setting up racks, etc.

Our Retail Centers are open 9 : 00 a.m. to 9 : 00 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 9 : 00 a.m. to 7 : 00 p.m. Sundays.

JOB SUMMARY :

The Retail Production Associate I will primarily work in a production environment processing and sorting donated items following company quality standards and guidelines to determine which items will be placed on the sales floor to be sold. This process includes pricing and testing guidelines as required. The Associate is responsible for ensuring the sales floor area is well stocked with product in an organized and presentable fashion. The Associate may occasionally interact with customers and is expected to provide excellent customer service. The Associate may be assigned to various areas that they have been trained in to include hardlines, softlines, housewares, electronics, mechanical goods, books, or shoes per the business needs. This position may occasionally work in donations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Meets or exceeds minimum productivity standards and KPI expectations for assigned duties.
  • Sort donated items by type (books, media, textiles, housewares, etc.) including season, color, and quality of product.
  • Hang, size, price, tag, and prepare items to be sold on the sales floor.
  • Inspect and quick test items as needed that plug in or run on batteries to ensure the product is in good workable condition.
  • Make pricing decisions according to Goodwill standards of quality and value of product (Good, Better, Best), which may include researching the item's value online or using company tools and standards.
  • Ensure production and sales floor areas are well organized, stocked, properly merchandised, and clean.
  • Provide excellent customer service to fellow staff and customers; answer product questions as needed.
  • Rotate or pull old or unsold product in a timely manner from the sales floor to refresh product selection as necessary.
  • May have additional responsibility of processing E-Commerce product (sort, hang, size, price, tag, etc.).
  • Follow all retail center policies and procedures.
  • Ensure work areas are clear and organized and adhere to continuous improvement standards.
  • Follow all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment for employees and customers.
  • Cross-train in other departments or areas; act as a back-up for other areas as required.

    Education :

  • A High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

    • Experience :

  • One (1) year of retail experience is preferred.
