Job descriptionMonitor contract budgets and ensure fiscal accountability. Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting standards. Collaborate with finance and legal teams to mitigate risk. Supervise contract administrators and program managers. Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Business, Social Work, or related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum 7 years of experience in community services, with at least 3 years in contract development or procurement. Strong knowledge of contract law, public sector procurement, and grant management. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.

Stars is looking to add a Director of Community Services to build relationships with California medi-cal ABA and regional center vendorizations with a concerted effort on compliance, rate negotiation and budget development.
The Director of Community Services (Contract Development Focus) is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and evaluation of community programs and services. This position places a strong emphasis on the development, negotiation, and management of contracts with external service providers, government agencies, and nonprofit partners to ensure high-quality, cost-effective service delivery aligned with organizational goals.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners, vendors, and government agencies.
- Represent the organization in public forums, advisory boards, and collaborative initiatives.
