Job Description & Requirements Specialty : OR - Operating Room Discipline : RN Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, evenings Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with an active IL license and Level 1 trauma experience for an evening shift assignment. Responsibilities Position is in the Operating Room at a Level 1 trauma center Shift schedule is 5x8 hour evening shifts, 2 : 30 PM to 11 : 00 PM Every other weekend coverage is required, totaling 2 weekends per month One 12-hour on-call shift per month on a Saturday or Sunday is required, no weekday call Mandatory floating to various units or facilities within a 50-mile radius may be required at the facility's discretion Case mix includes Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery Charting is done in Cerner RNs must be flexible to float to various units or Cook facilities as needed, possibly including outside primary competency with a team-based support model Navy blue scrubs are provided for the role No block scheduling or special shift requests will be considered Maximum of 5 days off allowed during contract with no more than 2 consecutive days and no weekend or holiday time off approved Lab work for compliance must be completed within 72 hours of accepting the assignment Required to provide all compliance documentation by the Monday of the week prior to orientation Parking is available for a daily fee with shuttle service provided Requirements Active IL RN license required upon consideration Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of recent acute care OR nursing experience required Experience in Level 1 trauma setting required Strong scrub and circulate skills required Experience with Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery cases required Preferred experience in Neurosurgery, Open Heart / Thoracic, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric, and Gynecology Must provide proof of full COVID vaccination prior to start date Locals are preferred and must live within 75 miles Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-609541.
