We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, including Windows-based systems, VMware environments, and Cisco networks. This is a Contract to permanent position that requires a proactive individual with strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities and collaborating effectively with teams to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy configurations to ensure security and efficiency.
- Oversee VMware vCenter infrastructure, including provisioning virtual machines, allocating resources, and monitoring system performance.
- Configure and monitor Cisco network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls, to ensure reliable connectivity across the organization.
- Implement updates, patches, and upgrades for systems and networks to maintain performance and security.
- Identify opportunities for infrastructure improvements and lead projects to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
- Delegate tasks to IT staff or external service providers, ensuring accountability and timely completion of assignments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support IT requirements for ongoing projects and daily operations.
- Monitor system and network performance, responding promptly to alerts and resolving outages.
- Maintain detailed documentation for systems, networks, and procedures to ensure operational consistency.
- Enforce IT security protocols and participate in audits or remediation activities to safeguard organizational assets.
- Proficiency in managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Hands-on experience with VMware vCenter, including virtual machine provisioning and resource allocation.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with IT security practices and disaster recovery planning.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system and network issues.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills to maintain accurate records.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external vendors.
- Experience providing tier 2 / 3 technical support for escalated issues.
