Job Title : Manager– Group Supported Employment (GSE) Program

Location : Canton, CT 06019

Employment Type : Full-Time, Exempt

Schedule : M-F 8a-4p (40 hours / week)

Annual Salary : $51,500

Reports To : Program Director

Department : GSE Community Job Sites

About the Role :

Favarh is seeking a dedicated and energetic Managerr to lead the daily operations of our GSE Community Job Sites. In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing supervision and management of business operations and habilitative programming with a focus on customer service and quality assurance. You'll manage department systems, facilities, and equipment while ensuring effective implementation of policies and procedures. This position also plays a key role in identifying opportunities for system improvements and supporting the planning and execution of projects and special events.

Key Responsibilities :

Supervision & Management :

Oversee daily business operations of GSE Community Job Sites.

Ensure implementation and adherence to policies and procedures.

Supervise facilities, equipment, and department systems.

Organize and implement project assignments and special events.

Program Development & Support :

Promote quality habilitative programming.

Balance employer needs with participant support at job sites.

Ensure a respectful and dignified environment for all participants.

Team Leadership & Communication :

Provide strong leadership and team-building support.

Conduct or participate in supervisory and agency committee meetings.

Train staff and respite workers as assigned.

Support Therap documentation for assigned team.

Administrative Responsibilities :

Manage documentation systems and maintain strong computer and organizational skills.

Coordinate projects, staff resources, and program events / functions.

Network after hours as needed to develop community contacts.

Participate in special events, fundraising, intake, and IDT meetings.

Attend in-service training related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 1-year work experience in Human Services

OR

Associate degree in a related field and 3 years' work experience in Human Services

Strong background in business relationship development

Familiarity with the Farmington Valley and surrounding business communities

Sales experience is a plus

Working knowledge of adults with special needs is essential

Previous management and supervisory experience required

Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, math, and writing skills

Strong organizational, public speaking, and computer skills

Must be flexible with weekly schedule, including evening networking

Ability to become certified in medication administration, First Aid, CPR, and any other required certifications

Valid Connecticut driver’s license with clean driving record

Physical & Work Environment Requirements :

Ability to stand / walk for 4–6 hours; sit and drive for 1–3 hours

Lift 20 to 50 pounds

Use hands for repetitive grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing / pulling

Operate foot controls

Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, and reaching

Vision requirements include close, distance, depth perception, and focus adjustment
