Director of Finance and Accounting

Full Time l Onsite l Kern County, CA

Our client, a respected and growing company with a strong community presence, is seeking an experienced Director of Finance and Accounting to lead their financial strategy, accounting operations, and reporting functions.   • Compensation : $110,000 - $150,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee all financial and accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and cost accounting
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with supporting analysis for management decision-making
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to align with organizational goals
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable FASB standards, maintaining strong internal controls and audit readiness
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other external financial partners
  • Oversee tax planning and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting and finance team, fostering professional growth and collaboration

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting / finance experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively with executive leadership
