Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Jacksonville, NC 28546 (North Carolina nursing jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit : Labor & Delivery (10 beds)

Start Date : November 10, 2025

End Date : February 9, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : Nights, 4x12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekends & Holidays : Required

Call : No call required

Charting System : Meditech

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,740–$1,860

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

BLS certification (AHA) required

CPI certification required

COVID-19 vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Ability to float to similar or lower acuity nursing units

Experience with Meditech charting preferred

Must be willing to work weekends and holidays

Travel nurses must live at least 50 miles from the facility

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a 10-bed Labor & Delivery unit

Monitor patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Accurately document patient care in Meditech

Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process

Maintain a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment for patients and colleagues

Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
