Position Title : Director of Marketing
Position Overview :
A strategic and hands-on Director of Marketing to lead our marketing function through a transformative phase. Initially, this role will oversee our relationship with an external marketing firm executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy. Over time, the Director will build and lead an internal marketing team, bringing core capabilities in-house while leveraging external specialists for niche needs.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a Director-level or equivalent leadership role.
- Proven experience managing and scaling marketing teams.
- Expertise in B2B marketing, preferably in professional services or information management sectors.
- Proficiency with HubSpot; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, growing organization and lead through change.
Essential functions :
Short-Term (External Firm Oversight)
Serve as the primary liaison between the company and the external marketing firm.Refine and maintain the go-to-market strategy in alignment with company goals.Translate company strategy into actionable marketing initiatives.Manage and assign work to external marketing resources (designers, copywriters, event coordinators).Ensure timely execution of brand refresh, content creation, campaign management, SEO, PR, and event coordination.Long-Term (In-House Team Development)
Develop and execute a roadmap to transition the core marketing functions in-house.Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, including roles such as :Content Writers
Content PublisherEvent CoordinatorWeb / SEO SpecialistInbound Marketing SpecialistEstablish and manage relationships with external vendors for specialized services (e.g., market research, videography, graphic design).Additional functions : Strategic Leadership & Performance Management
Own and evolve the company's marketing strategy to support lead growth and brand positioning.Collaborate with executive leadership to align marketing efforts with business objectives.Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including :Reach within Total Obtainable Market
