Role Overview : This position is responsible for being an on call plow driver. Retention Bonus : A $500 retention bonus offered to Winter Seasonal Maintenance Worker working full-time hired on or before 12 / 8 / 25 who stay through 3 / 21 / 26. Location : This Seasonal Winter position is in INDOT's Waterloo Unit. Pay Rate : This position pays an hourly rate of $25.00.

A Day in the Life :

The essential functions of this role are as follows :

• Operate basic highway maintenance and traffic equipment to maintain, repair, and clean highways and right-of-way.
• Move and load supplies and materials.
• Winter operation duties including snow and ice removal.
• Perform emergency response activities such as : clean-up, traffic control, lane closures, placement of signs, and erecting barricades.
• Perform equipment maintenance such as : minor repairs, preventative maintenance, refueling, and pre-trip inspections.
• Comply with INDOT Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Perform miscellaneous labor tasks.
• Perform job documentation tasks such as entry into the Work Management System (WMS).

Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana : This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
