SY25-26 DeLaSalle Distinguished Teacher Residency

Position Title : DeLaSalle Distinguished Teacher Residency

Reports To : Principal

Location : Kansas City, MO (Candidates must be willing to relocate to Kansas City, MO)

Contract Term : 10 Months (Academic Year) - payment is spread over 12 months. This residency is bound by a two-year commitment.

About the Residency :

This residency is designed for educators with proven instructional success and a commitment to advancing equity in education. Residents will play a pivotal role in supporting DeLaSalles mission to empower students through personalized learning, rigorous instruction, and a collaborative school culture. With up to $24,000 in housing assistance over two years , this program provides the resources and stability to help you thrive personally and professionally while making a lasting impact. Residents will benefit from :

  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • National Board Certification : Demonstrates advanced teaching expertise, a commitment to continuous improvement, and alignment with the highest standards of professional practice.
  • A valid Missouri Teaching Certificate.
  • Note : Certification from another state, provided the candidate demonstrates eligibility for reciprocity or meets the requirements to obtain Missouri certification within a specified timeframe.

  • A minimum of three years of core subject area teaching experience with demonstrated instructional results.
  • Note : Candidates with significant industry experience and proven expertise in their field, even without formal teaching experience, are also encouraged to apply if they exhibit a strong commitment to education and student success.

  • Experience working in urban education and serving diverse student populations.
  • Familiarity with restorative practices and culturally responsive teaching strategies.
  • Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in education or a related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Experience in partnering with families and caretakers to promote academic success.
