Solar Construction Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Solar Technician with over 5 years of experience in commercial or utility-scale solar projects for a portfolio in Upstate NY. This role involves working directly with the project manager to manage small crews on active construction sites. Candidates should be willing to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of solar installers on commercial projects.
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities to ensure project timelines are met.
• Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site assessments and prepare project plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during installation.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress and report to project managers.
• Train and mentor junior installers.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and used properly.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.

Work Environment

Work is performed outdoors on active construction sites, which can be muddy and wet. Candidates report to the Journeyman Electrician or a site superintendent. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 am - 5 : 00 pm, and Saturdays from 7 : 30 am to 3 : 30 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates must be prepared to work in various weather conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Aurora, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.07 - $65.07 / hr.
