- Provide day-to-day health support including basic assessments, medication administration, and student monitoring
- Build foundational experience with students in therapeutic, structured learning environments
- Collaborate with school teams to support students' educational and behavioral progress
- Develop communication and care coordination skills with families and staff
- Serve as a consistent, compassionate presence for students who rely on daily structure
- Support field trips, school activities, and gradual integration into general education settings
Experience You'll Need :
LPN license in Massachusetts (or ability to transfer an active license)Experience or strong interest in supporting students with autism, nonverbal communication needs, and behavioral health challengesAbility to remain calm, patient, and composed in high-energy or emotionally complex situationsComfortable working in environments where hands-on clinical needs are limited, but emotional presence and behavioral support are essentialDesire to contribute meaningfully to a school-based nursing team, whether as a new nurse or seasoned professionalStrong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teamsSchool or pediatric experience is helpful, but not requiredWhy Start Here?
