Coord, Physician Group Practice - Diabetes Mgmt_Educ Center_QMCW (Full-Time, 40 Hours, Day Shift)

Job Responsibilities

Job Summary / Responsibilities :

Supervises the daily operations of the assigned area(s).

Works collaboratively with management to ensure operations are in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and with the policies and procedures of The Queen's Medical Center - West Oahu.

Typical Physical Demands :

Essential : stooping / bending, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.

Frequent : sitting, repetitive arm / hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.

Occasional : standing, walking, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, reaching above, at and below shoulder level.

Depending upon area of assignment may lift and / or carry usual weight of 1 pound up to 20 pounds, pushing / pulling usual weight of 10 pounds up to 20 pounds.

Operates computer, copier, telephone, printer, scanner, and fax.

Typical Working Conditions :

Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

Minimum Qualifications :

A. Education / Certification and Licensure : Bachelor's degree in business, health care or related field; or five (5) years experience in any or combination of the following : physician's practice, health clinic operations, medical insurance, physician practice services may be substituted for the educational requirement. Current certification in CPR at BLS / HCP level preferred.

B. Experience : In addition to the educational requirement, two (2) years experience in healthcare, preferably in a physician practice or acute care hospital. Demonstrated knowledge in third party and government payer and reimbursement regulations, including Medicare / Medicaid program requirements. Prior experience demonstrating ability to work effectively with physicians. Prior leadership / supervisory experience preferred. Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Vet
