Overview
PE Engineer I - J0048323 at Astemo Ltd. This role is part of the xEV Regional Power Electronics Engineering (PE) group and supports activities related to xEV products, equipment layouts, parts flow, and technical documentation for programs related to xEV products.
Responsibilities
- Provide Line and Plant Layouts for new Production Lines
- Assist other PE engineers with preparing documents required for line verification at start-up
- Assist other PE Engineers in setting up testing trials / experiments for customer / internal troubles, including countermeasure activity as needed
- Support development and research of new technologies
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, And Skills)
4 Year College Degree in related field technical field or equivalent experience and educationKnowledge of computer systems and spreadsheets necessary to perform job dutiesAbility to make quick, accurate, data driven decisions and utilize excellent problem-solving skillsProficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.) and Excel and PowerPointExcellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skillsMust have transportation to and from local facility. (Not a remote position)Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, And Skills)
4Yr university engineering degree or related fieldWork experience within automotive industry, with emphasis in electro / mechanical devicesKnowledge of EV components such as inverters and motorsKnowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc.Experience in electronics manufacturingEssential To Job Functions Physical And / or Mental Restrictions
