Transfer Admissions Counselor
The Transfer Admissions Counselor (Professional Services Specialist 3) reports to the Associate Director of Transfer Admissions and supports the recruitment, evaluation and enrollment of prospective transfer students. This role requires adherence to Kean University policies and procedures while delivering exceptional service to prospective and current students and their families. This position requires a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours and extensive travel to New Jersey community colleges and other recruitment locations.
Qualifications : Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree; two years of professional experience in enrollment management, admissions, recruitment, marketing, sales or customer service; a valid NJ driver's license; and transportation for recruitment travel is required. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of the required experience. Preferred qualifications include admissions recruiter experience in higher education and experience with Ellucian and Slate. Essential job functions include driving and the ability to lift, handle and transport recruitment materials and equipment over short and long distances. Traveling will require the ability to drive for short and extended periods of time. Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills; and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, databases, report generators, spreadsheets, presentations, social media and related software.

In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the negotiated annual salary range for this position is : $63,833.23 to $73,415.99 (Steps 1-4). Salaries for internal applicants will be based on union negotiated calculations. This position may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a retirement plan and benefits for work life balance.
