Title : OKTA Developer

Location : Germantown, MD (5 days onsite)

Job type : Contract to hire

Key Responsibilities :

  • 8+ years of exp in OKTA.
  • Design and implement OKTA workflows, policies, and integrations for user lifecycle management.
  • Develop custom OKTA solutions using APIs, SDKs, and scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Python).
  • Configure Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and federation protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC).
  • Collaborate with application teams to onboard new apps into OKTA.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve OKTA-related issues and provide ongoing support.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in IAM strategy discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required Skills :

  • Strong understanding of identity protocols : SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC.
  • Experience with OKTA Workflows, Universal Directory, and Lifecycle Management.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, etc.).
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and integration techniques.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their IAM components.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • OKTA Certified Professional or OKTA Certified Developer.
  • Exposure to DevOps and CI / CD pipelines.
  • Understanding of Zero Trust architecture.
