Construction Production Manager
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Production Manager to oversee skilled trade operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a professional who can effectively manage teams, coordinate projects, and ensure adherence to safety and quality protocols.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage teams, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and according to quality standards.
- Allocate tasks to foremen and ensure efficient work assignments.
- Interview and hire skilled trade employees, including foremen, carpenters, painters, and laborers.
- Collaborate with foremen, superintendents, project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment with project plans and specifications.
- Monitor project schedules, deadlines, and resource needs for skilled trade-related tasks.
- Lead, mentor, and train foremen and skilled trade workers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure continuous development.
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
- Resolve quality, performance, or safety issues and implement corrective actions.
- Enforce and promote adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Work with internal Safety Manager to conduct safety training and monitor compliance.
- Assist with managing skilled trade budgets and resources.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain cost-effective production approaches.
- Prepare and maintain regular reports on project progress, labor efficiency, and budget status.
- Document activities, changes, and issues related to skilled trade tasks.
- Address and resolve issues such as manpower shortages and material delays.
- Provide technical support and maintain proactive problem-solving approaches.
- Work closely with project superintendents to ensure adequate project staffing.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 10 years in skilled trade and construction management.High school diploma or equivalent; degree in construction management preferred.OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.Strong leadership and team management abilities.In-depth technical knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, and tools.Understanding of labor production and production reporting.Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.Experience with project management software and reporting tools.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in construction environments.Comfortable working outdoors and at heights as necessary.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $55.00 / hr.
