About The Position

Flexible Cardiovascular Surgery PA-C Assignment in Wisconsin

Are you a Cardiovascular Surgery PA seeking a flexible locums opportunity in Wisconsin? We have an ongoing, short-term coverage need that allows you to choose your schedule and get to work quickly with our dedicated credentialing support.

Highlights

  • Only 1-2 weeks of coverage needed per month
  • This is an ongoing interim assignment with no long-term commitment required.
  • Comprehensive travel and lodging accommodations are provided.
  • Malpractice insurance with tail coverage is included for the duration of the assignment.

Practice Setting

  • This is an inpatient assignment on a cardiovascular surgery service.
  • Work with a collaborative team including 1 RN, 1 APP, and office staff.
  • The patient population consists entirely of adults.

    • Schedule

  • This flexible assignment requires only 1-2 weeks of your availability per month.
  • Scheduled hours are primarily daytime on weekdays.
  • Call is required, featuring one call day per week and a 1 : 4 weekend rotation.

    • Procedures and Cases

  • Function in a first-assist role for cardiothoracic surgery cases.
  • Key procedures include endoscopic vein harvesting.
  • The daily case volume is typically between 1-3 surgical procedures.

    • Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C).
  • A minimum of 24 months of cardiovascular surgery experience is required.
  • An active and unrestricted Wisconsin state license is mandatory.
  • Requires current ACLS and BLS certifications.
