Complete Description :
The Azure Cloud Architect will advise on architecture and security considerations for Azure environments, including in-place migrations and refactoring. They will evaluate and recommend lift-and-shift approaches as well as cloud-native migrations. The role includes refactoring existing Azure deployments and conducting architectural proof-of-concept testing.
The architect must understand service offerings from various connected parties and make Azure configuration changes to support organizational objectives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
- Advise on Azure architecture and security concerns, including migration and refactoring strategies.
- Recommend lift-and-shift and on-premises-to-cloud-native migration solutions.
- Recommend refactoring approaches within existing Azure environments.
- Conduct Azure testing to demonstrate minimal viable architecture designs.
- Evaluate available services and offerings across related technical organizations.
- Configure Azure-based services to support enterprise-level goals.
- Apply strong knowledge of cloud security, including zero-trust, segmentation, conditional access, and related principles.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Produce high-quality documentation including architecture papers and design specifications.
- Support cloud security posture management, including vulnerability remediation and perimeter D fense.
- Apply DevOps knowledge using Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise Cloud.
- Work with relational and non-relational cloud data solutions (SQL Server, Oracle, Cosmos DB).
- Utilize strong on-premises architecture experience to guide hybrid cloud and migration efforts.
Required Skills & Experience :
Minimum 5 years of strong cloud fundamentals.5 years of experience with single and multi-cloud strategies.5 years designing cloud solutions across full architectural requirements.5 years of Azure network and storage architecture experience.5 years working with Azure services (Key Vault, Entra ID, etc.).5 years working with Azure Functions, Web Apps, containers, microservices, and serverless architecture.Strong understanding of cloud security principles including zero trust, segmentation, JIT access, and conditional access.Experience architecting solutions to meet RPO / RTO objectives in Azure.Strong documentation-writing capabilities.Experience managing cloud security posture-vulnerabilities, perimeter defences, encryption, etc.Strong DevOps experience, including Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise Cloud.Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and non-relational databases like Cosmos DB.5+ years as an on-premises architect.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Certification (must provide Certification).#CB #DICE
