Litigation Attorney – Personal Injury (Woodland Hills or Remote)

Direct Counsel is seeking a seasoned Trial Attorney to join a mid-sized trial firm with a thriving personal injury practice.

Position Overview :

The firm is seeking an experienced courtroom litigator with significant trial experience , ideally at or approaching ABOTA-level . Candidates must have more than 5 years of insurance defense and / or plaintiff-side personal injury experience , with a minimum of 5 jury trials to verdict — however, those with a deeper trial bench and consistent first-chair experience will be prioritized .

This attorney should be motivated, collaborative, and ready to take ownership of an active caseload while working closely within a team-based litigation department.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage a caseload of 30–50 personal injury matters from inception through resolution

Lead and assist in jury trials and participate in regular case strategy roundtables

Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery

Collaborate with dedicated paralegal and support staff to move cases efficiently through the litigation process

Communicate effectively with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and team members

Ideal Candidate :

Licensed California attorney in good standing

Minimum of 5 years of personal injury litigation experience (plaintiff and / or defense)

At least 5 jury trials to verdict required; candidates with extensive trial work and ABOTA-level experience strongly preferred

Strong research, writing, organizational, and communication skills

Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Compensation & Benefits :

$250,000 base salary for candidates meeting the preferred heavy trial experience profile , plus $20,000–$25,000 in bonuses
