Location : OKC

Mechanical Assembly Pay Rate and Hours :

  • $20-24 / hr
  • Monday through Thursday, Friday OT as needed, Regular hours : 6am-2 : 30pm, OT hours : 5am-3 : 30pm

Mechanical Assembly Job Summary :

Construct, assemble, or rebuild machines, such as engines and similar equipment used in manufacturing industries.

Mechanical Assembly Responsibilities :

  • Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer specifications.
  • Position and align components for assembly, manually or using hoists.
  • Set and verify parts clearances.
  • Rework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies.
  • Read and interpret assembly blueprint and specifications manuals, and plan assembly or building operations.
  • Maintain and lubricate parts and components.
  • Assemble systems of gears by aligning and meshing gears in gearboxes.
  • Verify conformance of parts to job traveler and blueprints.
  • Fasten and install piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies, using hand tools or rivet guns.
  • Remove rough spots, and smooth surfaces to fit, trim, or clean parts, using hand tools and power tools.

    • Mechanical Assembly Qualifications :

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Conducting tests and inspections of completed products to evaluate quality.
  • The ability to see details at close range.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Must be able to communicate and understand English.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years’ experience in assembly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Overhead crane experience a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 25 – 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to walk, talk, sit, stand, and communicate verbally continuously throughout the scheduled shift.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary

    • This is a temp to hire position.
