About The Position

License : California licensed hospital pharmacist
Certifications : BLS (AHA), Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) via BPS
Must-Have :
- Experienced with antibiotic stewardship programs, sterile compounding, and medication dispensing systems.
- Familiar with CPOE databases, Omnicell or similar automated dispensing machines, and medication unit packaging.
Description :
Certifications and licensure requirements include a California licensed hospital pharmacist with over 3 years of experience.
Residency training and / or board certification in pharmacotherapy or infectious diseases is preferred.
The role will involve working in various areas including inpatient, emergency department, intensive care unit, and more.
Responsibilities include all aspects of pharmacy operations, compliance with regulatory requirements, and assisting staff during emergencies.
Pharmacists must perform antibiotic stewardship functions like dosing and monitoring of specific medications.
The pharmacist will be responsible for providing drug information to the medical staff.
Experience with sterile compounding and relevant medication dispensing systems is essential.
The role requires proficiency in managing pharmacy operations and meeting the needs of various departments.
Weekend work will be required on an alternating schedule.
Business casual or clean scrubs are required as part of the dress code.
IV Compounding Certification is desired.
The pharmacist will collaborate with pharmacy managers and technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
