Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTechnician 1 - pay is up to $26.12
Collaborates professionally with other Section, Division, Department and District employees.
Technician 2 - pay is up to $30.24

Necessary Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities
Supervision Received
Works under the general supervision of the Facilities Supervisor. Receives directions from Technician 3 on projects and tasks assigned.
Supervision Exercised
Technician 1 : May supervise seasonal employees on specific projects and tasks as required and assigned.
Technician 2 : May supervise Facilities Technician I and temporary employees on projects and tasks as required and assigned.
Work Schedule
Generally, this position works between the hours of 6 : 30 a.m. and 3 : 00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The work schedule will vary depending on weather conditions, projects, events, programs, meetings, and staffing levels and will include some evening, early morning, weekend, and overtime hours.
This position is part of the Metro District’s on-call / weekend schedule for snow removal. This position is required to be on-call and work nights and weekends as scheduled by the snow removal leader.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
Tools and Equipment Used
Tractors, skid steer loaders, welders, small trucks, aerial boom truck, all hand and power tools, carpentry saws and tools, snow removal equipment, pickup trucks, paint sprayer, plumbing equipment, cement mixer, power washer and finishing tools. Computer, telephone, cell phone, calculator, and other related office equipment. Computer programs, including asset inventory and work order management software, Microsoft Office suite, and Excel.

The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 80 pounds and sometimes lift and / or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and near moving mechanical parts. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and is exposed to icy, snowy, wet and humid conditions, extreme heat and cold weather, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, loud construction noise, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock.
