Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Field Service Mechanic & Technician - Diesel and Hydraulic Specialist is based in our headquarters in Magnolia, TX. This role will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair of diesel engines in our fleet of trucks and construction machinery. Hydraulic and previous experience working both in the Field and Shop are required. Daily tasks include but not limited to; conducting equipment inspections, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all trucks and machinery operate efficiently. The role requires hands-on work with a variety of tools and equipment and working on-call in an outdoor setting. Starting Pay is based on past experience and strong references. GAGECO's conditions for employment require a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

  • Documented experience with Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Heavy Truck & Trailer Repair is a must
  • Documented experience servicing light duty 1 / 2 ton to 1-ton trucks, both gasoline and diesel is a must
  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance practices - per manufacturer and company standards
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to analyze repair needs.
  • Proficient in operating computer diagnostic equipment.
  • Welding skills for repair of equipment is a plus
  • Knowledge of Diesel and Hydraulic systems
  • Ordering parts necessary for repairs and keeping records on a per unit basis
  • Air Brake repair experience is helpful
  • Experience installing aftermarket body parts for trucks and machinery is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant certifications and technical education are a plus
  • Physical ability to perform hands-on work in various weather conditions
  • Roadside service experience is helpful in support our truck fleet
