Position Summary :
- We are seeking a Controls Field Engineer to join our team in Mount Pleasant, WI.
- This role is responsible for configuring and developing application-specific control systems primarily at customer sites.
- The position also supports the design, analysis, and maintenance of control systems for existing products.
Key Responsibilities :
Configure control systems on various applications, ensuring proper function across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.Assist in writing documentation including design specifications and test plans.Evaluate hardware / software deviation requests and recommend improvements.Participate in drafting product modifications and writing BOMs.Conduct root cause analysis and introduce new technologies.Provide product support for Production and Product Service.Test software / hardware and write associated reports.Maintain professional development through training and publications.Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 10+ years of related experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Basic experience with editors, compilers, revision control software, and PLM / PDM systems.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Basic knowledge of embedded systems and programming languages (C, VB.NET, C#).Understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.Familiarity with data acquisition equipment and CAN communications (SAE J1939).Valid passport required.Preferred Skills :
Ability to coordinate cross-functional design and development efforts.Skilled in troubleshooting across software and hardware domains.Strong organizational and time management skills.
