HVAC Technician - Alaska Fire & Flue / Valley Mountain HVAC
Pay : $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

If you enjoy hunting, fishing and the outdoors this is the place for you. The HVAC technician performs skilled inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to heating and ventilation systems. All duties are to be performed in accordance with company mission, vision, and values.
Responsibilities
- Performs skilled inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to commercial heating and ventilation systems
- Inspects and repairs boilers, furnaces, and unit heaters
- Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical equipment for industrial applications
- Studies building plans and other materials to determine work aids required and sequence of installations
- Tests various systems for proper operation, assembly, or to diagnose problems
- May perform a wide variety of other general maintenance duties required to maintain and operate commercial or industrial facilities
- Notify supervisor if safety standards are not being met
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities
- Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalentMust have at least four (4) years' verifiable and advanced HVAC experienceA valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years company vehicle insurance policyMust be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clientsMust be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervisionMust meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and clientRegular day shift, M-F but position will involve rotating night weekend emergency call out as needed basisAssist other Maintenance Technicians, regardless of skill set / tradeThis position is located in Soldotna but covers the whole Kenai PeninsulaWorking Conditions
Weather : Indoor / Outdoor – occasional exposure to harsh weather conditions; requires work to be done both inside and outsideNoise level : The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphereDescription of environment : Office building with standard office environmentPhysical requirements : Employee is required to occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 lbsFrequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands / fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk / hear, see, taste / smell, and carry weight / liftTravel : Employee may travel to Palmer occasionally for trainingCompetencies
Extensive knowledge of heating systems including, forged air, Hydronic, on demand hot water, gas and plumbing systems
